Before you build
ARC Request Guide
Most exterior projects need Architectural Review Committee (ARC) approval before work begins. This guide explains the process so your request can be approved the first time.
What needs approval
- Fences and gates
- Exterior paint colors
- Roof replacements
- Sheds and outbuildings
- Major landscaping changes
- Additions and structural changes
When in doubt, submit it — it's faster than redoing work that wasn't approved.
How to submit
All requests go through the Homeowner Portal. Once you're signed in, you can upload your request and supporting materials. A complete request usually includes:
- A description of the project
- Plans or drawings, if applicable
- Photos of the current area
- Materials and colors you intend to use
- Contractor details, if you're hiring one
Incomplete requests are the most common reason for delays — including everything up front keeps things moving.
What happens after you submit
The committee reviews submissions on a rolling basis, and the board follows up if anything else is needed. Please wait for written approval before starting work or signing a contractor agreement.
A note on current standards
The board and Architectural Committee are modernizing the community's architectural standards, beginning with fences. The portal always reflects the current requirements, so check there before finalizing your plans. Larger changes that require a community vote will be communicated well in advance.
